Michelle Trotta is an Ohio-based Speech-Language Pathologist. As a child, she enjoyed writing short stories in hopes that one day she would become an author.  During her time of working with children, she recognized the need for a children's book that fosters acceptance and celebrates differences. The mission of sharing Rusty's story is to empower children and provide adults with a valuable developmental tool through the magic of storytelling.

She continues to write, make music, and enjoy her passions with her husband, daughter, and dog. Michelle will continue to write more books to add to this series to showcase a variety of animals facing their fears (that people may not  expect)...like a porcupine that is scared of needles, or a caterpillar that is scared of change!
